What's your favorite 80s song?

Talking in your sleep-The romantics. I heard this song on "Stranger Things" one day and I was "Hell yeah, even they have a good taste in music" lol. Creepy show, but suspenseful!
https://www.youtube.com/embed/JmGMzyajA2UI absolutely love that show and nice song choice!
thanks! I just watched it for the first time 3 months ago. I started from season 1, then started getting hooked. Season 1 was a little slow in the beginning, but after that, wow, that show really picks up. I watched all 4 seasons in like 2 weeks, lol. That's one of the best shows I have ever seen. I really hope they don't keep me hanging after season 4! I don't know if season 5 is up yet, but cliffhangers, lol.
I know right lol That show is so addictive! I can't wait for season 5. I think it won't come out though until 2024 or 2025 🙁
yeah, I think you're right. Damn the devil to hell! lol. I'm worried about poor Max!
Yeah me too. I really hope she comes out of it and comes back to normal.
There's a radio station in my town that often plays this. I heard it for the first time a couple years ago and loved it!
Thanks for the mho :)
You're welcome!
Many songs, but this is the first one that popped into my head so I’ll go with it for now. flock of seagulls I ran so far away

That is a great song! My favorite of hers is To Amo.
But, my favorite 80s song is:
It is indeed a great song!
There are so many good ones, but I still need to go with this:
"Avatar" by Dead Can Dance from their second album "Spleen and Ideal" which was released in November 1985.

That album represented a change in direction for them and help pioneer new genres of music.
You should listen to "Avatar" in the dark with good headphones on.
The song is roughly broken up into thirds of about 1:30 each. It is the last third that begins around the 3:00 mark which is phenomenal and illustrates Lisa Gerrard's amazing singing talent and musical talent. She sings in a made-up language (aka "glossolalia") and this album is the last time she ever sang in English.

I was in my country Peru in the eighties (13 to 23 y. o.) and find music through tv and. radio.. Different genres... Music in English or Spanish etc...
I put some songs that i like from that decade (only songs that i heard in Peru, no in later years through internet)
Freedom of choice by Devo
The voice by The Moody blues
Exterminio by Pax... From Peru
Victimas del desamor by Video... From Spain
Treat me right by Pat Benatar
Kokomo by The Beach boys
Changes by Tear for fears etc
I liked Celine Dion's earlier songs more than her recent songs. But I don't know if the older music I listened to was from the 90s or the 80s. My friend met her at a music store when she showed up in a mask every week to buy music for her collection. He recognized her and talked to her but promised to hide her identity from others in the store.
I couldn't choose just one, sorry. 😅
Aw, man I got too many. But to name a few...
"Thriller" - Michael Jackson
"Take On Me" - Aha
"Our Lips Are Sealed" - The Go Gos
"Roam" - The B-52s
https://www.youtube.com/embed/iNwC0sp-uA4It may not be the typical genre you tend to associate with the 80s, but it was recorded in the 80s, so as far as I'm concerned, it's an 80s song. It's one of my favorite songs of all time. I've loved this song since I was 10 years old. I'm 30 now. There are many songs I get sick of hearing overplayed on the radio, this isn't one of them. Don't even get me started on the video <3
https://www.youtube.com/embed/6VwbyBGbqPYToo many to mention to pick just one. But here are a few of my favorites - Kokomo, in the air tonight, sssudio, shout, everybody wants to rule the world, don’t you forget about me, let your love flow, tonight tonight tonight…that’s all I can think of now. But I’m sure there’s more 👍🙂
There are so many to choose from but the one that came to mind was “Come on Eileen”.
John Farnham's "You're the Voice."
Phil Collins - Don't Lose My Number (Seriously Live in Berlin, 1990)

It rotates, but at the moment, I would say this one:
