Would you find this terrifying?

Last week I was texting my little sister. We like to show cute animals or actual nature around us. I had just put out some food for some deer, shut the door and stood by the window to see if i could snap anything cute. I'm always thinking of how much they understand me when I try to communicate with them.

so, i said something cute and stupid to them before i went in. i continued to admire them and one of the two deer puts its mouth right up to the other one. if you've ever seen a cgi animal talk in movies it was similar to that.. it was human-like! and i could hear a noise that wasn't a familiar deer noise for me. and then that deer, when i got inside, looked at me through the window and jolted off.

i thought i must be imagining things? maybe someone else has had a similar encounter? Please share!!!

I was living in an apartment and went out to empty my trash in the dumpster. When I looked in, there was a juvenile raccoon in the dumpster. Since it had just been emptied, the raccoon was down too far to get out.

I had been feeding those raccoons since they were little, so they knew me. It stood on it's hind feet, stretched out holding his front paws out for me to lift him out. I was afraid it might grab my hands too hard and cut me with it's claws. So I put a small step ladder in instead. It climbed out and scurried off.

The only thing in the dumpster besides the raccoon was a broken open can of red paint. The raccoon had gotten into the paint and had it in his fur.

A few days later I was walking past a different dumpster a few buildings over. I heard a noise and sure enough a raccoon was stuck in the dumpster. It was the same raccoon because it had the red paint on it.

When the raccoon saw me, I swear it looked embarrassed. Like "I know I know, I didn't learn my lesson. Could you please help me again?".

Some of the sounds animals produce are way out there almost human like that we're so ignorant of them tgat it csn be shocking. The clips of animals living with humans who imitate us is evidence they're attentive to sound like we are. Are they trying to communicate? Great if they were but we need a culture change to try to meet them part way.

No one I work with who lives in the city could’ve experienced anything like this. I live in the country in the middle of nowhere.. deer all around. I experience stuff like this all the time..

My rabbit sometimes acts like human, but it's kinda funny, not terrifying at all :D
