Long distance relationships can be challenging. There are lots of lonely spaces in between visits. They can be cruel and lonely times. I heard this song today and remember the night that I bought this album. It was one of those cruel and lonely nights.

Never was into LDR and turned down a LDR when I was in my 20s. He was in California.
Then met a guy here about 10 years ago. no clue who/where he was or having any idea about dating anyone from gag. Ended up meeting and learned he was in Ohio.
we dated 4 years. LD. since I have a lot of vacation time, the longest we didn’t see each other was 3 weeks. It wasn’t too bad. I drove out there 9 hrs. He drove to me as well. Sometimes we fly. Sometimes we travel to Florida or go on other vacations for 2 months. we finally come to a compromise and moved to a different state. We are now married and together going into our 10 years.
The difficult times were able to resolved by being away and learned to communicate effectively. I leaned to be patient, he learned to love. It was not easy.

I don’t recommend to 90% of the young people unless they have time and money to see each other at lease once a month.

my younger sister met her husband who was working here but from France. They dated 2-3 years. LD. She also has a lot of vacation time being a school teacher. So it worked out well for them. They got married sooner because they wanted to have a family. He moved to the US and have 2 kids now.
