Am I the only one who prefers to watch old movies?

For me, The movies these days are not worthy to watch. Too much unnecessary drama, loud BGM, too many graphics. I feel The art of simple characters, well narrated stories, real locations seems faded away.

I watch them too usually 60s up through the 90s. After that all you get is weird nihilistic movies that just don't really say anything. No good guys, no bad guys, just a bizarre soup of neither one nor the other. No one to root for, nothing really happening. You'll be lucky if the main characters lover doesn't turn out to be another fucking dude. You'd need a puke bag to watch that so I typically don't bother.

Old British movies from the 40s back when they could make movies. The writing is as good as any Jane Austen book. After watching Jane austen's Persuasion get butchered by Netflix I hope these movies never get remade. Can you imagine if they remade its a wonderful life, George Bailey would be the bad guy.

Most of movies these days copy the story from old movies.. journey to the centre of the earth.. journey 2: Mysterious island.. such movies were already made in 60s. I'd try to watch movies you mentioned. I like exploring different cultures.

Yeah. Indiana Jones. Amazing adventures.. i like American pie big momma and grown up movies.. they are funny. I love watching spaghetti western movies.. they're raw and full of action.
