Anyone like watching old tv shows?

It can be fun, but I don't watch much TV overall.

However, my favourite TV show of all-time is All in the Family, which ran from 1971-'79. Honestly, I don't think there will ever be a comedy series with the quality of writing as there was on that show. It was also way ahead of its time and tackled serious social and political issues like racism, racial inequality, women's rights, the LGBTQ+ community, equal pay, unions, the economy, economic recession, inflation, abortion, sex, birth control, rape, gun control, war, the U. S. military draft, environmental issues, government regulation, social unrest and protest, policing and many other issues of the day. Many of which are eerily similar and relevant to things happening today. But the show was equally shocking, incendiary, controversial and thought-provoking as it was hilarious.

Some even say that All in the Family was an important cultural phenomenon that was a part of the fabric of social consciousness and change for following decades. Particularly in regards to racism. It caused people to introspect within themselves and challenged their beliefs and prejudices about other people, as well as many other social and political issues as well. Mostly it was done with how the topics of the show and the main character in particular (Archie Bunker) were portrayed in a comedic and very blunt way, that caused an uncomfortable realization that once you peel back the layers of the onion and expose yourself to another viewpoint that it caused people to say "wow, do I really sound like that?", or "maybe this issue/other people aren't what I previously believed." So much of what All in the Family did was quite radical and pioneering in its day. There was, and still has never been anything like it before or since.

Anyway, the characters are great and the writing is hilarious, and it's still to this day my favourite show of all-time.

I watch Good Times, Threes Company, I Dream of Jeannie, Different Strokes, Facts of Life, Whos the Boss, Different World, Family Matters, Full House, Brady Bunch, Cosby Show, Mamas Family, Saved By the Bell, and Whats Happening. Can’t believe i used to like PeeWees Playhouse lol. My mom is obsessed with Little House. My grandpa likes Bonanza, Rawhide and Sanford and Son. My grandma likes In the Heat of the Night and Golden Girls. I’m tempted to rewatch JAG and Walker Texas Ranger. I didn't care for Jeffersons, Cheers nor All in the Family but i loved their theme songs

For sure! I’ve recently been watching “Night Court” the original series, “Three’s Company” and “Family Ties”. I luv that stuff! I have been working through the original “Knight Rider” and “Miami Vice” for awhile now. I haven’t started “MacGyver” yet, but i’ve seen it around. I really hope to stumble across “The A-Team” too!
