He wore a coat with large pockets and had a large ring with keys to the "Treasure House" His show had skits with characters like Bunny Rabbit, Mr. Moose and Dancing Bear. He had a sidekick name Mr. Green Jeans and there were recurring guests like the Banana Man. This was his theme music.

My wife's sister graduated from college in the 80s and Bob Keeshan (Captain Kangaroo) was the commencement speaker. When I saw him come on the stage I took a walk towards the stage to get a closer look. He did not have his signature haircut, he was bald. I was not sure it was him. Then he did a mike check and i heard that familiar baritone. I just said out loud to nobody "Wow, it's really him". He looked right at me and said, "Yes, it's really me."
