I just listened to entire Castle Rat album. Okay, humor me. It sounds like The Pixies and Black Sabbath had a kid. I found it listenable, but completely unmemorable. Dream Theater is always great. I'm on to your next one now.

It's not only that, but my parents were audiophiles and music freaks. They had so much stuff and I heard soooo much music that it's like "everything old is new again", and it's difficult to get away from. In a way, kids today who would have no idea who the Katydids were, or the Cardigans, or Sir Lord Baltimore, or Hawkwind or The Vanilla Fudge, or Iron Butterfly... can listen to something and not think " oh, they sound just like... blah, blah, blah". I live with that curse. LOL
