I saw a movie called "The Big Short" with Christian Bale. It was in 2015. I saw in during a power failure when my house was getting too cold to stay in it. We went to the movies to get warm and this was the only movie that looked good. I guess it was not a bad movie but I do not remember much about it.

Like in the movies with the stale buttered popcorn and all that? I think it was an Avengers flick. It was ok but I fell asleep while hulk was smashing something or other.

Wa saw "Avatar: Fire and Ash" about 2 weeks ago. It was all over the place and that bothered me - it was like a lot was on the editing room floor. And it was LONG.

But, it was definitely worth what we paid!

The new antagonist/villain in this film was excellent. Seriously. Generally, when you have a movie with a villain, the movie is only as good as the villain. Case in point: Star Wars... Star Wars would not have been Star Wars without Darth Vader in the original - Vader is what made Star Wars so memorable.

Well, the new villain in this movie, Varang, is magnetic and fascinating. Oona Chaplin played her and I think she will at least get an Oscar nomination. The Avatar movies are famous for their beauty and advancing film technology, but this combination of performance-capture of a real actress has taken it to the next level and that's due primarily to her, not the technology.

Omg that's a wonderful (but tragic) film. I love Joseph Gordon-Levitt... it was the first film I saw him in.
