What's your favorite episode in a TV show?

For me it's Once More With Feeling from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I resonate with this episode so much and especially with this particular song Buffy performed.

Give me something to sing about

Dealing with depression is a bitch and you just don't know what to "sing" about anymore.

The episode of Supernatural, when they find themselves stuck inside a Scooby Doo cartoon really stands out in an otherwise fantastic series with many memorable and powerful episodes. This one hits different in all the right ways for me.

Seinfeld- The Stock Tip. Another legendary series, but this episode, dealing with the ups and downs of investing as well as how people treat you when they know you have money in a stock just never gets old to me, as it mirrors my real life in so many ways. "I told you not to sell"!

Hmm. In the old tv Series- Garfield and Friends. There's an episode with their barnyard pals. And Wade Duck is afraid of everything. His friend Orson Pig, helps teach him about overcoming fears and it's still with me to this day. "Caraway seed? I don't know what it is but I'm afraid of it". 😁

More recently, going against mainstream popular opinion, my favorite episodes of Stranger Things are when they get jobs working at Scoops Ahoy. I just love the 80's job scene and how it's a nice break from the main theme of the show. Also, the episode where Dustin and his girlfriend sing the Neverending Story song. How can that not be everyone's favorite?

Cobra Kai? The one where Johny's old friend dies. I cried like a baby. The memories. The redemption. The feels in that episode are crazy.

Kim Possible. I liked the Christmas episode. Season 2 episode 15. Also the one where Ron gets made the manager of Bueno Nacho.

Saved By The Bell. So many. But I'll keep it short. Everybody says "Jessie"s Song. For the drug thing, but I'll go with some others instead.

All In the Mall. They find a bag of money, and take it. Try to use it to buy U2 concert tickets and end up getting chased by "the mob" who wants their money back.

Mystery Weekend. They take part in a murder mystery weekend. I love this, and it's the kind of thing you never get to see on other shows for some reason.

Palm Springs. When Jessie's dad is getting remarried and they all get to go to Palm Springs.

In the early episodes, technically called Good Morning Miss Bliss, there's an episode where Stevie, a former student comes back to perform. She's a rock star now. And this is probably where the idea for Hannah Montana came from. But her song, Hotline to your Heart, should have been a real release, and a lot of people agree with me.

Then there's the Rockumentary episode. Where Zack dreams that they started a rock band and get famous. Again, the songs in that episode are amazing for a tv show, and millions of people wanted the actual album to be released.

Hey Arnold! The best episode is Hey Arnold's Christmas. Season 1 episode 20. Arnold helps his Vietnamese neighbor re-connect with his daughter that he was separated from during the Vietnam war, and some other things. I watch this every year for Christmas and it's still as powerful to me as when I was a kid and saw it. I highly recommend it. If you don't mind cartoons. 😁

Chuck! My favorite episode is when he's trying to get back into Stanford. Again, probably just because of the way it mirrored my life, but that's one of my faves. There are a lot of great episodes though.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch. my favorite episode is when they take a class trip to Salem Massachusetts to learn about the witch trials.

Family Matters- I liked the gang episode. Also, there's one about a racist cop. That's a really good one. Not preachy and "woke" but real. Season 5 episode 15. Good Cop Bad Cop. Carl Winslow, is my pick for best tv dad. Love him in that series.

COmmunity. Season 2 episode 14 I believe. The Dungeons and Dragons episode. It's sooooooo freaking good. I actually think that everyone should watch this episode. It's actually about depression and suicide. And handles it superbly. But the episode has been overtaken, and the message lost, by people screamin that it's "blackface" when one of the characters paints his face and wears a white wig to portray his ELF character for the game. This episode is sometimes not even aired on streaming platforms because of this. It's wild. But again, the episode and it's TRUE message are great.

"The 23rd Psalm" from Season 2 of  Lost . That was when Locke and Mr. Eko finally watched the mysterious DHARMA Orientation tape. "Lockdown" would be the second one, when the DHARMA station blast doors came down and everything went dark for a minute, and Locke got a glimpse of the Island mapped out on one of the doors in blacklight.

"Once More, with Feeling" is indeed an iconic episode. One of my favorite episodes is "Ozymandias" from Breaking Bad. The tension and culmination of Walter White’s choices are brilliantly portrayed. It's an intense emotional rollercoaster that showcases incredible storytelling and acting. 🎭 Every moment is gripping, making it unforgettable.

Stargate SG-1 is my favorite show. Watched one of my favorites today which is Window of Opportunity. Its when a planet they visit has a time loop machine, two of the main cast get hit by its beam and as a result are the only ones who notice that time is looping. Unfortunately its the two least equipped members to deal with that, the linguist who can translate those ancient ruins and the scientists aren't aware of the loop. They struggle to find a solution until the linguist gives them the idea they can do whatever they want without consequences, its such a fun episode.

Another favorite of mine is the one with the shrinking dome. Its an episode about brain interfacing and I encourage anyone to see it at least once since its a good lesson. They visit a highly toxic planet that no life can survive on and encounter a forcefield, inside the force field is a society with breathable air and the illusion of a larger outside world. They all wear a brain interfacing device that can read their minds and even change their memories. But is that a good idea?

I think I'd have to say "Balance of Terror", a first season episode from "Star Trek" which introduces us to the Romulans. There's a lot in this episode which illustrates the intelligence and humanity and idealism represented in "Star Trek" despite the fact that this is sort of a space-version of a submarine combat movie.
