Do you feel like a NPC instead of the main character in your life?

Not really, if I compare what I do and have done to those around me, I feel like I'm the main character in my own life. Some of my friends have barely experienced anything in life and I hope they can experience more to also feel like the main character of theirs

Strictly use this acronym as a useful slang, not imagine like we are in a game or something. Those who acknowledge that they have a feeling of similarity to NPC's, are partaking in "The Great Noticing". I mean, the fact that one notices an unconscious pattern implies awareness of a more conscious way. Those who do not feel a feeling of being an NPC are the most NPC-like actually. And it is part of life in the current human form. Nobody is so far ahead in evolution that they never perform NPC acts. You wouldn't have a human body if you didn't have a part NPC. Yet, the only way to grow is to have a ground to push against, or in this case, lack of consciousness to become aware of, there would be nothing to be aware about if NPCism didn't exist. ㅤ

Nah I have main character syndrome. Though sometimes I feel like a background character in someone else's show. Like when there's two people having a conversation and there's some guy in the background doing some random shit. I feel like that guy sometimes.

Truth is, it was the opposite for me for the longest time. I always used to feel like the main character. Since I was younger, I was always told how talented and smart I was and that I was going places. I've had to learn to dial down my ego, being humbled by age and life. I definitely feel like more of a side character now and I'm pretty content that way. All that matters to me is that I have my own dreams and aspirations and things that make me unique.
