For those into action movies, who is your favorite actor/actress?

I think because of my age im still partial to action heroes from the 80s and 90s but maybe some of you younger folk might have a more recent name to go with.

So who is it for you? What action star really resonates with you and draws you to see their movies?

Scott Adkins is a criminally underrated action star. Action movie buffs have probably seen him in small roles in bigger films like “John Wick 4”, “The Expendables 2”, and “The Bourne Ultimatum”. However, he has dozens of movies to his credit in which he demonstrates great acting as well as phenomenal martial arts and amazing stunts, typically as the lead.

Schwarzenegger was the best. As to women maybe Jolie or Jovovich I guess. Those were all the ones I watched in the 90's. Willis and Sly Stone come off as assholes somehow, so does H Ford. Van Damme was cool but didn't really have the memorable roles like Schwarzenegger.

I haven't really seen too many but I absolutely loved Kurt Russel in "Big Trouble in Little China".

But I guess he's in his 70's now so, prolly not too much action anymore. 😳

The John Wick series just reignited that clean, choreographed, almost balletic style of action I love. He commits so hard to the stunts and gun-fu that it feels like watching a live-action graphic novel.

Bruce Lee was the boss! For women, I can't think of anyone who was better than Uma Thurman in the Kill Bill movies, particularly Kill Bill 2. The Samurai 77 fight scene is one of the best every put on film.
