Parents of G@G, do your kids watch children's content?

If you have young children, do you allow them to watch children's content and shows? I'm talking more contemporary creators like Miss Rachel, Blippi, Cocomelon, and others like them.

My kids do not and will not watch any of that kind of stuff. I've seen enough. They don't have phones or tablets either, and they fortunately don't bug either me or my wife to let them play with ours. VeggieTales is about the extent of that kind of content, and I admittedly have mixed feelings about it.

If your children are grown or just older (teens), what did they watch?

It would be if my future kids would be into those kind of shows. But, I will not let them watch Barney after they start kindergarten.

Old-school Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood are one thing. Barney was a creepy disaster. The shows I mentioned above are brainrot.

but my rule was the same approach as when they learned about the Bible...

never let your young kids watch TV by themselves, always watch it with them or stay nearby, that's called supervision

and I did the same with religion... never left them alone with Catholic priests or any other Catholic Church member... if I am not there, our young kids won't be there either

What is the objection to current kids’ programming?

It's creepy and condescending. Something about them seems a little... off to me. The "Blippi" guy is my age. He's my age and dressing like a total perv and acting and speaking like a three-year-old. And he apparently put out some seriously disgusting content only a year before starting as this character.

The few clips I've seen of Miss Rachel aren't much better.

My kids are grown but when they were little there were shows like Pee Wee Herman that were not allowed. I knew he was a perv.
