So after the conclusion of the MCU’s infinity saga. Kang The Conqueror was originally set to be the main big bad of the multiverse saga. Appearing as the main antagonist in Ant Man and The Wasp: Quantumania where he was portrayed by Jonathan Majors, having previously portrayed he who remains in Loki. Kang was set to return in the movie called The Kang Dynasty. However Majors was convicted of misdemeanour assault, forcing Marvel to drop him and reshape the franchise around Victor Von Doom AKA Dr Doom. Yeah, Doom was almost guaranteed to show up at some point, even back when Kang was clearly the main villain. 😈
Marvel was obviously building toward Secret Wars, and you can’t really do any major Secret Wars adaptation without Doom in a big way. Most likely version: Kang would’ve been the primary threat in The Kang Dynasty, while Doom would either appear late in that film or in a post‑credits scene, setting him up as the power behind the curtain who truly reshapes reality in Secret Wars, similar to his role in the 2015 event where he becomes God Emperor Doom.
So even if The Kang Dynasty hadn’t been reworked and renamed, Doom almost certainly would’ve entered the MCU during or immediately after that movie to take center stage in Secret Wars. 🎬🦾
