Dead Kennedys is a great name.

Iron Butterfly - I always thought Led Zeppelin stole this name and varied it.

Uriah Heep - Named after the proto-Gollum a hundred years before Gollum.

ZZ Top - Zig-Zag and Top were the most common rolling papers.

Bee Gees - All their names have the initials BG.

Mott the Hoople - No idea what it means but it's catchy.
