I'm 100% sure Jeff Koons isn't a traditional painter, he's a plastic artist instead. Plus he's in the contemporary art category, nothing traditional here, you're moving too fast for art history lol.

Physical pieces of art, as opposed to digital creations is as trending as it can be, check art galleries of the nearest town or city, you should see many ongoing exhibits. Some of them blur the lines between physical and digital but that's another topic.

I'm not sure if Jeff Koons is a traditional painter, but for me everything digital is no art. And I play computer games and appreciate the digital worlds that game developers create.

It depends on who you’re appealing to. Digital art is great for the casual art scene, especially for things like fanart. Traditional mediums still hold weight in that spot, too. However, the world of the tax-break-seeking rich 1% of the nation is very eager to have artworks worth millions because donating them gets them millions in tax relief
