One group said call me they! Not binary male or female. It would be a battle between the group saying call me they! Against bugs bunny but how did the writers choose the pronoun "they" for the battle? And for the side expected to lose? Could they predict?

Most likely they was choosen as a opposition to we. We VS Them. Bugs’s side has a flag labeled WE. Us vs them.
