Sometimes I might hear a song I have not heard in a long time and I associate it with some random event that happened to me.

I heard this song this morning. I have not heard it for many years. It really did not get much airplay.

I can remember when i was just out of high school giving my best friend's older sister a ride back to college. I had a the biggest crush on her. She was a year older than me and just thought I was some kid who hung out with her little brother. It was about an hour's drive and my best friend was driving his mother's car and his sister sat in the back seat., This song came on the radio and she started singing along with it.

This song reminds me of when my son was going through a hard time in junior high school (AKA middle school).

He has learning disabilities and this girl in particular was a cheerleader. But for some reason she was attracted to my son. She would write ✍🏼 him letters and she gave him her phone number.

She would be nice to him one day and then treat him like a dog the next day. This went on for 2 years!!

Finally he became so depressed about it that he wouldn't get out of bed and go to school.

I took him to a male psychologist for
2-1/2 years, twice a week after I got off work. Dr. Fortney was the BEST psychologist EVER!!

He went above and beyond what a psychologist would normally do. He even went to their school and spied on them and overheard their conversations.

As a Mom with a heartbroken 💔 hearted son, THIS SONG WAS THE SONG that I was my song to him. From a Mother to her son.

I actually head it this last weekend, during our Easter festivities. This song was played at my grandpa's wake. I've only heard it a very few times since his wake but when I heard it over Easter weekend, it definitely made me go into the bathroom and dry my eyes.

I was sketching by the window after watching an artsy indie film, totally heartbroken over a crush who barely knew I existed.
