If you were to write your own original story, how would you want to tell it? Would you write a book? Make a movie or TV show? A stage play? How would you tell your original story?

I guess people are going to calm me lame for this but I do some writing based off characters I create and play in video games, especially mmos. I have 2 stories I'm currently working on slowly.
I also do write random stories. I have one I started that was sort of a horror story, but that's been sitting for a while so I doubt I will go back to it.
I've been working on a story for a very long time that started as a screenplay, turned into an eposodic series has characters/lore arcs who's backstories are short novels or spinoffs and making it all fit together in a way where there's enough overlap to make the series easy to watch while leaving enough stuff for the other materials is pretty overwhelming sometimes.
But I'm a sucker for a series with lore, I know a lot of other people are too and it's so much fun to write in these little hints about how much bigger the story is so that it doesn't feel unapproachable to people who don't care they just want to see the main story.
Probably a video game. I really like the interactive format.
But so many good and bad stories have been told already that I wouldn't know where to start to tell one that I find interesting.
Plus I would have to be satisfied by how it plays, not just what it tells. So I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon.
A book most probably, which I am doing now, but if I have a budget then movie.
What's yours about?
It is an ancient themed book. The crown prince's heart is slowly freezing to death due to a curse, the flower which was keeping his heart warm died. So now the only way one can stop the freezing heart is by romancing the prince, in a way keeping his heart warm all the time. But the crown prince is a cruel guy, if he ruled the kingdom then he would bring everything to ruin, so his maiden must make a decision. I'm not sure on which note to end this book. I have started the manuscript though.
And the book I'm working on is again, ancient themed. Think Romania in 18th century. It is about this women who is accused to be witch because she is single, has many ravens surrounding her all the time, wears black, she never obeys the royal orders. Unfortunately our priest, who was supposed to conduct her public strangulation, falls in love with her. I'm yet to start manuscript of this book.

I have my own personal stories I make in my head that are versions of myself or versions of myself that I wish I could be. I donβt share them with anyone but if I ever did I think I would make it into a tv show with many episodes because my character goes through many life stages and experiences. It just continues on.
I'd write a book, which I plan to do, but at the moment there wouldn't be enough people to market it to, so for now I am working on building a following on my YouTube channel. Once I have enough followers on YT, then I'll write 2 books and promote them on there. I already have an outline for one, and many notes for events and character traits for the other. Realistically, it may take a couple years to even get 10k followers on YouTube though.
I could write a non-fiction book about my life and guarantee a mass response of something like "Oh no way you got trampled in 3rd grade at school in a canned food drive assembly and then got back later the same 2 cans your mom donated! Yes, you read that correctly I was pushed down by one kid and then stepped over by most but walked on by others with clear intent. I also got tricked into signing my own yearbook the next year (1988) but I think that one is still pretty funny.
I do write little short stories sometimes but if I was to seriously tell one I really like the "found footage" format they used in films like Blair Witch and Cloverfield or a mockumentary like Spinal Tap.
I would love to make Get Angry into a movie but I would need to have complete creative control over the project. Until I do, we can just rewatch Falling Down.
I would write a book that would be turned into a movie. They would get Stephen Lang to be the star.
six seasons & a movie...
I guess make a movie and Matt Damien will have to play the part. But he will have to make his hair more lighter and put some hight Step Enhancers in his shoes 👞 to make himself 6 foot 1
I would write a book, in first person narrative.
Book first. The others can follow
That's what I would want too, to write a book first and then have it adapted into a movie.
- Video game
- Movie, or a tv show/series
- Or a book
Series that are compact and use bgms and songs
Write a book for sure.
In a TV series
Interpretive dance.😆
