Why are people following such crazy trends?

Every now and then we see a new crazy trend on Instagram or Tik Tok, than we see everyone doing it...

The majority of these trends are just shallow and stupid...

Look what's trending now, evey reel and every short clip wherever you scroll, it's "mount Everest ain't got sh*t on me" 🤦🏻‍♂️

It looks like a humiliation ritual. A humiliation ritual is a practice that involves breaking down an individual's self-esteem and dignity through various means. The point is to prove that you put the group before yourself. That you submit. That you are a slave that follows orders. It's Satanism (Islam)

It's clearly a humiliation ritual because they are all giggling at each other's bad singing and especially at the last guy who is flush red with embarrassment as he sings. He's flush with blood from the base of the neck up, but he has to keep going for group allegiance all the time knowing this is going on the internet for millions of people to laugh at and mock.

Thank goodness, those stupid trends are a thing in the US mostly, the land of stupidity par excellence.

The rest of the world is educated and is less likely to follow those stupid and potentially dangerous crazy trends. Thank goodness, I live outside that land and I am spared to be faced with that king of stupidity. I believe it is a reflection of the mentality of the country and its leaders.

Mind you, I can't see that clip because my browser and child protection software prevents me to open the link but knowing that it is something that is not meant to be followed by someone with a little brain, I am not losing anything by not seeing it.

I chalk it up to what has become an environment of hyper individuality; it's the same reason why there are 75 different kinds of cigarettes today, when there were only half that number 15 years ago. Everyone is trying to make themselves noticeable. 'Look at me, I'm important, dammit, I'm important!'
