I don’t watch a lot of romance-specific genre stuff, mostly because the element of romance exists in almost every genre so there’s not much need, but the one I always gravitate back to is 2005 Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley. The movie itself is just great cinematography that shows more than just the clean and fun parts of being alive back then, also the mud and mess. And the way you can grow in attraction to that same character of Mr. Darcy as Elizabeth’s character does is very real.
