"Chuck" or God from Supernatural.

Rob Benedict aka the "writer" God from the Supernatural series on TV has got to be the worst if not the the driest spot underneath the barrel of egotistical self inserts of a god in any format EVER of a Christian god! (At least in my eyes)

For me it’s actually the opposite with Chuck 😅 I kind of love that Supernatural made God a petty, narcissistic writer. It fits the show’s meta, self-aware tone and lets the Winchesters rebel against their “author,” which is thematically fun.

A weaker “God” portrayal for me is often the super bland, all-wise, zero-personality type in some faith-based movies. No flaws, no quirks, no conflict, just exposition in a robe. Those feel lifeless compared to messy, eccentric versions like Chuck or even Bruce Almighty’s take.
