What exciting TV should we watch?

British TV is the best in world so I thought instead of going out on this fine Saturday we could all stay in and watch some quality TV. I've picked some fantastic shows for us to sit quietly and watch, so what's it going to be?

12:15 to 15:00 woman's super league play off. 165 minutes of women kicking a ball around a field

14:15 to 16:30 horse racing from Haydock. 195 minutes of horseys run around in a loop carrying little men.

To 12:30 to 21:00 Eisteddfod yr Urdd Yns Mon. Eight and a half hours of children's talent competition. Not only today but all week. Enjoy a week of watching other people's kids recite poetry, play the harp, and dance.

14:00 to 18:00 Woman's cricket. Four exciting hours of England v New Zealand. Enjoy watching women stand in a field.

12:45 to 18:10 Kings speech debate, day three. Over five hours of riveting political debate from Parliament.

Staying in and watching tv with you would be a joy, and we could do so for a week just watching the programs you have mentioned.

And what exciting TV you have chosen to watch, I would be swapping channels regularly, and I'm sure you would be the same, so you would be in charge of the remote.

We could watch 15 minutes of football before swapping channels to watch the talented children, and some of the King's speech.

Then swap back to the football to see the ladies with lovely legs swapping shirts, I mean to see the exciting climax of the football.

We could have a few bets on the horse racing, with the winner allowed to take off some clothing because it's hot inside.

We could then watch the ladies bowling, catching, and throwing balls in a field, I wouldn't tell you I would be watching the ladies boobs instead.

Swap channels again to catch the end of the King's speech.

Then return to the talented children up to bedtime.

Separate beds of course, we don't want to give some of the dirty minds on GAG's the wrong idea.

And the next day we could do it all again.

In the United States, I find women's soccer better than men's soccer. In fact, one of the faster growing professional leagues in the US is the National Women's Soccer League. It gets respectable ratings. Part of this is because, in World Cup soccer, the US National Women's Team is much better than the Men's Team; the US Women's Team has won the World Cup multiple times while the Men's Team often doesn't make it out of the Group Round.

If you want sport, Women’s Super League can be fun, but for real “stay in all day” quality I’d go with something like “Line of Duty”, “Happy Valley”, “Fleabag”, or “Derry Girls”.

Make tea, binge a whole season, and ignore the schedule 📺☕

I have been enjoying the US version of “Ghosts”. The latest episode involved a trip to Europe. I was very excited and hoped that they would crossover some of the ghosts from the UK version. I have only watched a few episodes of the original. So I’m not sure if the English ghost is from that series, but I don’t think so. I will eventually go back to it between seasons of the US version. It’s just too much to watch them simultaneously.
Similarly, after finishing “Being Human”, I went to watch the original version from the UK. I watched an equal number of seasons, but the UK version became kinda redundant. It felt like they were just dragging it out. The US version was closed at an appropriate time. For the first three years, they were neck and neck.

Watch Blue Lights. This is a brilliant series about the police in Northern Ireland during the Troubles there. It has amazing character development and is amazingly evocative. It will be like an unlike and better than any TV show you've ever seen. It's on BritBox.

My wife has recently started watching a lot of British TV. The thing tha jumps out at me is how unattractive most of the actors are.
