They’re chaotic, stylish, and totally free-spirited, with those dramatic coats, hats, ships, and sea myths. I grew up sketching pirate characters from movies, so I’m biased. Cowboys are cool too, especially in Westerns and neo-Westerns, but pirates feel more rebellious and adventurous, like living inside a wild ocean fantasy.

Yeah but these are just tropes. Even the cowboys are not always like that in real life. They're litterally just like "shepherd" for livestock who work at a farm.
