Is Dodge really bringing back a Viper-inspired Copperhead supercar?

I've always wanted go see Dodge return to their roots with supercars and the ram v8 lineup which we got.

Stellantis can't even afford a Hot Wheels car right now. They went all in on EVs even though their EVs weren't competitive, and now they are broke. They also assumed they would have the Chinese market forever, but as I have been warning for a decade, they've been shut out and the Chinese have stolen their tech and will make domestic clones for their own market themselves.

GM and Ford aren't much better off. The whole auto industry spent wildly on crap, uncompetitive cars that no one wants and have essentially bankrupted themselves. They are running on debt but that's not sustainable.

That's unfortunately true. Nobody wants EVs due to the fact that in my state at least there's no tax credit upon purchase..

Plenty of people actually do want EVs (and plenty don't - the simple fact is that current EV technology can do a great job in some applications and a lousy job in others, and this will change over time, but it will take 10-20 more years), they just don't want crappy EVs.

The Big 3 were so used to being lazy and "good enough" so engrained into the culture that their first (and in some cases second) generation designs were pretty bad. In efficiencies were everywhere and because they were rushing the design and because in many cases they weren't even starting with a new design, nothing was well optimized. That's not survivable in a world where Tesla (and to a lesser extent Rivian and Lucid) exists.

I'm also not discounting the idiotic government pressure to move to EVs - the government should not get involved and EVs should be adopted as people decide it makes sense to do so. But the whole thing has just destroyed the legacy auto business.

What’s out there is mostly rumors and speculative renderings based on Stellantis’ future EV / performance plans and nostalgic trademarks. Nothing concrete like production timelines, specs, or a reveal date.

So for now, the Ram V8 lineup comeback is real, but the “Copperhead-style” Viper successor is still just wishful thinking and fan hype.
