2001: Space odyssey. Given how slow paced the movie is, it's a good choice to end up doing something more exciting. Give it 20mn maybe 30.
Now if the goal is to really watch that movie together, then it all depends on your tastes. Since no one here can know what your preferences are... It's complicated. I suggest you both browse IMDb. com to figure that out

How about asking her what she'd like to watch? Most importantly, don't accept any suggestions you really don't like. Find something you're both into or give up.
Start as you mean to go on.
That said, trying new things is not bad. Don't reject options unless you really know you won't like them. (I would not watch "The Thing" again if you paid me!)

Well, your choices are romance, softcore porn or a movie that is actually good.
I would go with a good movie. You may not get laid, but at least you'll have something to talk about in the morning.
