am watching toy story 5 right now and the topic is kids get phone addicted too easily and forget real toys and imagination and real friends... thats valid issue... i heard at least 5 people talk about disney milking the toy story franchise and now I am like, milk how? disney always believed in friendship, teamwork, make believe games, creativity etc. phones are kinda crushing that.

I did watch it because of some spiteful meme my brother showed on insta. I wondered why insta was getting mad lol

Disney will sell you anything you want to buy. They are shameless self promoters. Kids addicted to electronics, games and apps is definitely a relevant issue. Meanwhile Disney has produced hundreds of movies, series, games and apps for kids to stare at day in and day out. They literally have an entire streaming service PLUS they own Hulu and Fox, so there are even more movies and series to hook the whole famn damily! Even when you “unplug” your kids, they will still want to play with their Disney stuffies, games and cards. Usually while wearing an assortment of Disney costumes and other Disney themed clothing and accessories.
It’s absolutely absurd that anyone might consider Disney selling you tickets to their movie some kind of political statement or protest. 😂😂😂😂😂


As far as i’m concerned, Disney doesn’t get nearly enough hate. They have no morals and they exclusively value profit, just like every other major corporation. Looking to them for some shining example of virtue is like promoting big tobacco because they also invested heavily in smoking cessation products and services. 😂😂😂

Did they ever just do movie and theme park production in a non-profit sort of way? Back in the 50s and 60s their movies were great. But I was a little kid and probably would still see the magic in those old movies.

I have a soft spot for nostalgia more than most. But Disney is one of only SIX corporations that control the vast majority of media that we consume AND steers political decisions and election results. A great deal of their new stuff is “woke” to say the least. And any suggestion that they are on the path to “protecting kids” with a single movie that highlights what half of us have known to be true about social media for decade is absurd.
I have no problem with people and companies trying to be profitable. I do have a problem with companies that value that profitability above all else trying to preach to me about values and morality. F*ck Disney.

Some hate comes from Star Wars fans who feel Disney turn Rey the main character in the Star movies made by Disney into Mary sue basically an unrealistic perfect character and put Luke as a depressed man.


The other hate comes from religious people who believe the company promotes gay ( this is where the main hate comes from)

Yeah, there are lots of people with miserable lives and biases out there who always want to have something to complain about. Often times they start complaining even before watching the film, just by the trailer or concept itself.

They forget that the target audience is children, not cranky adults.
