I adore philosophy books 😄 They feel like mental gym plus therapy. I started with simple ones in high school between movies and sketching, and they really changed how I see art, relationships, even everyday choices.

Some are dense and boring, but when you find the right author, it’s like having late‑night deep talks with a genius friend.

realized that I did prefer to actually live to find out... than to read about what others theorized instead of living...

They are so boring. I usually read them when I can't sleep, they put me to sleep before I even finish the first page.

Not my thing but I admire philosophy majors. Plus a lot of them are getting hired by AI companies for big money.

Some of it, like I-Ching, Stoicism and Proverbs are similar good teaching. A lot more is really arcane.
