She was a good singer and there are songs I like from her, but that’s not one of them.
The animals made that song famous and I’ve always liked their version.

At what point do you think she went 'off the rails'? She added a different ending, but that's a personal touch I like. I prefer a version of a classic song than a downright copy.

Haven't heard it, but I'll listen. I've LOVED Eric Burdon and the Animals' original since it hit when I was 11 in 1964.
