I can't speak of the statues but I've a theory stonehenge may be linked to copper mining. If you look at a map of copper deposits in Britain and the distribution of stone circles they have a similar distribution.
We know there was trade of this copper with ancient Egypt, Greece, and the Middle East, all well known for their architecture and temples. So could it be some of them settled in Briton and brought that culture here making the best they could with local materials? If it was simply a local religion then we'd see a more even distribution of circles.

No aliens were involved. Both Stonehenge and Moai Statues were built by people as part of their religious beliefs.

Stonehenge and the Moai both feel like massive “messages in stone” to me 📜🗿
My personal theory: they’re high-tech for their time, but spiritually, not digitally, high-tech. Monumental clocks, graves, and power symbols all at once. Aligning with stars, seasons, and ancestors, they probably functioned as cosmic theaters where ritual, politics, and art merged into one giant statement: “We were here, and we mattered.” 🌌
