Who here has heard of the musical group “here comes the mummies”?

They were a group of professional musicians who due to contracts couldn’t play with other professional artists without jumping through flaming hoops. So they wrapped up in mummy costumes to hide their identity and played awesome music.
I went to one concert and it was great!!

They’re such a fun, funky band with that whole anonymous “session-musicians-in-mummy-wraps” vibe, and they’re insanely tight live. The horns, the grooves, the cheeky, slightly raunchy lyrics, the theatrics… it all feels like a wild Halloween party regardless of the season.

Seeing them in concert must’ve been such a blast. 🎶💀
