What's a story you would love to see turned into a movie?

For me, it's Persephone and Hades. I love their love story and I love Greek Mythology.

I’d love a really artistic adaptation of *The Little Match Girl* ❄️🔥
Done like a dark, poetic indie film, maybe set in a near-future cyberpunk city with hand-drawn animation overlays for her visions. It has such heartbreaking beauty and social critique, and with the right director and score, it could be visually stunning and emotionally devastating. 🎬😭

Hadestown has been on Broadway for almost 10 years now and won a Tony Award, and i think they just made a movie version of it. Chris Sullivan is in it and Shania Taub who wrote The Devil Wears Prada the Musical

The problem with the classic myths is that they are very light on details even in their richest tellings. This means that the story needs to be overdeveloped to create a feature length film, or the stories need to be told in conjunction. I prefer the latter. It would make for a better miniseries than a movie, in my opinion. The “God of War” game franchise actually did a surprisingly good job weaving some of the original myths into the story and the conflicts therein.
I like “What Ifs”. What if Magneto was in “The Age of Ultron”? What if Batman sacrificed his honor? What if xenomorphs infiltrated the Death Star?
What if the Symbiote infected Superman?
I really hoped that “Freddy vs Jason” was going to trigger a series of studio co-ops that would pit our favorite slasher franchise superstars against each other. The possibilities are nearly endless! They could do something similar with monster movies. Imagine “Predator vs Jeepers Creepers”, or “Xenomorphs vs the monsters from ‘A Quiet Place’”. Or “RoboCop vs Terminator”.
It seems like studios are rehashing old stories more than creating new anyway, and the rights to these characters and storylines aren’t going anywhere. Better to join up and split the profits than to keep gambling on new crap or reboots that nobody asked for.

A holiday I took with 3 friends while at university in the early 1990s. It was mad af. Car crashes, thefts, strip searched, terrorists, candles, drunk pedestrians, cops, and interpol were looking for us.

I agree, Persephone and Hades, I love Greek mythology too, as well as Slavic, Roman, Celtic, Hindu, Chinese, and many others.

Also, they should make Aeneid movie, as a sequel to Iliad, and Odyssey.

This Polish adventure travel series called "Tomek"

I love that story. Id love one about the myth of Isis and Osiris. The tale of love, death and grief would do well. Hopefully im not just living under a rock and there's already been a movie lol
