There are plenty of judgmental assholes in this world and people can be stupid and petty for a variety of reasons. I don't think there is anything wrong with liking larger women, you like what you like.
For me I like many different kinds of girls, personally I would like to meet a japanese girl, it wouldn't matter to me much about her weight as long as we are healthy and like each other. There will always be difference in what people like, it isn't just limited to what kind of women you find attractive, but many things in life. Examples could be sports teams, what kind of tvs shows, and even what kind of hobbies you have. For instance I enjoy reading manga and anime even at my age, its what I like to do.
I don't think there is anything wrong with liking what you like, people like what they like there is nothing wrong with it. I wouldn't worry much about people that judge, they just aren't worth your time.
First and formost, I would call those women voluptuous and sexy. Maturity I guess. As for your friends, your in highschool and their is no place more judgmental then highschool. Wait a couple of years and their prefrences will start to change. Its only because they themselves are afraid of judgment. Meanwhile use this to your advantage, you know that none of these guys have the balls to make a move on the girls you like which means less compitition. Thick bodied girls are awesome, fun for cuddling and fun for other not so family friendly things, though only if they have a good personality. Have fun (not to much, you don't want to go blind)
Your reputation won't be the one sharing your life with you. If the people you are worried about aren't paying your bills, helping you get into the college of your dreams, or anything else other than being there, then you should not worry about what they think. Its like saying you told them you were going to Harvard on a full ride and they said it was stupid, so you didn't go. Would you do that? Then why base how your heart feels on their opinions. Go with how you feel and forget them rest :-)
