Would a Jew ever marry a non-Jew?

I 'm not sure this is the right place to ask this, but I'm dating for a while a Jew.

Fore some days I've started to think if that relationship has any future, because I'm a non-Jew. I'm Christian.

I know that the Jew's blood goes from the mother to child, so if a Jew would marry me, our kids would not be Jews.

so if anybody knows anything about this, I'm wondering if a Jew would marry a Christian...

I'm not saying I'm desperate to marry him, but I'm just wondering...to have an idea where I stand, at least.

If he's not that observant, I don't think he'll mind. If he was that observant, I don't think he'd be dating you. My siblings are far from any observance. They all married whomever. I'm more observant, I married a jew. And, I've spent many years in "yeshiva" (jew school) and "ba'is medresh" (temple). So, I know about most "halachot" (customs/laws). I'm no hasidic orthodox rabbi, far from it. Also... I would not advise conversion... Here's why... We, (the Jew peeps) frown upon conversion, and try not to convert gentiles to Judaism. Here's why... In most if not all cases if conversion, the convertee always wants to convert for the wrong reasons. It's usually for the love/affection of another person. Conversion should be reserved for the love and worship of "Hashem" (Jew God). However, because a person's intention and inner desire cannot be interpreted, only trusted, Rabbi's refuse to convert. That being said... There are ton of fake ass money hungry Rabbi's who will convert a pig for a price. They usually have a reputation and practice that other Jewish communities and congregations will question, and any certifications/licenses granted by those Rabbi's (marriage/divorce/conversion/etc) will be highly questioned in all other Jewish communities. How to find one of those Rabbi's? Just keep calling one after another until someone agrees for a price. Or, look up a "reform Jewish Rabbi". However... I don't advise nor do I condoned this decision. Unless your heart is with God and his testament... Don't do it...

Why not? People marry across race lines, religious lines, political lines, even common gender in some states. Don't prejudge someone based on something like that. Some people take religion very serious, some not so much. Some are find with their children having a choice and others are hard liners. Why not ask him about it?

I don't want to ask him because I don't want him to think that I'm desperate to marry him. I just asked him about his religion and he told me interesting things I didn't knew. I asked him about converting to Judaism, if is possible, or not and he took me for example. he told me> "If you'd want to marry a Jew, for example, to convert is a long and difficult process..." maybe he doesn't care too much that I'm a non Jew, isn't it?

It depends on the Jewish person. Religiously, you are not allowed to marry a non-Jew; however, in today's day and age, they do it all the time. It has become a preference thing now rather than a set-in-stone thing unless he's completely religious. Hope this helped.

basically if a jewish woman marries a non-jew, their children are jewish. but if a jewish man marries a non-jew, that does not mean that their children cannot be jewish. my uncle is jewish and his wife is christian and they are going to raise their baby up jewish.

I've heard of it happening, absolutely. Although frequently in those situations either the other person converted or the Jew wasn't super into practicing if that makes any sense. Mostly because the Jewish are a pretty tight know community more than not.

It happens. As a matter of fact you can become Jewish if you so wish to. Conversion is no longer solidified by birthrite or priestly acceptance. Note that it's a long process.

Conversion will only be performed by a "Reform Rabbi". And, Reform Judaism is not accepted in all other Jewish congregations (hasidic/lubavich/Sephardic/mizrahi/habbad/etc). Conversion to Judaism can only be allowed if the convertee is doing it solely for the love of god and testament. Nkt for the love of another human being. Because it's hard to determine a person's true intentions, Jewish Rabbi's choose not to get involved. Reform Rabbi's are... Modern day/"loosey goosey" Jews. They'll agree to almost anything for a price. But again... We don't acknowledge their practice and teachings. And most certificates/licenses granted by a Reform Rabbi... Has very little place in the Jewish world.

Usually they have to make the person who isn’t Jewish to convert to Judaism. That’s what happened to Ivanka Trump (trumps daughter) She converted in order to marry Jared Jushner because his parents wouldn’t allow it to happen, and it’s some weird Talmudic law.
