Can you write a paragraph of appreciation to the most helpful person in your life?

"You not only feel better about the people to whom you are writing but you also tend to feel better about yourself"

I chose to write it about my mom and my best friend. I actually started to tear up and I'm gonna share it with them to see their reaction. It made me feel really good so I challenge you to write something small for someone too.

My mum is probably the most helpful person in my life, but I'm constantly showing my appreciation to her, so instead I'm gonna write about two other friends.
To dear friend, thank you for always being there for me, and I mean always, for those anxious messages with too many exclamations, for those late night chats at 3 am where we laugh hysterically til we cry at the most random of things, and for those many many times where I just needed a long, warm hug. You have been that one true best friend that I didn't have for a long while, and you have encouraged me to be exactly who am, and to stand by my beliefs and values. I have learnt so much about you, other people and myself through our friendship, and they have been such invaluable lessons. Let's continue to change the world with our d&m's and have hugs that would warm even the coldest people.

And to the boy who has me (mostly) wrapped around his finger, even though you chose her, you've still made such an impact on me. Regardless of whatever petty fight we're having, whenever I'm in a bad mood or dealing with crap, you're always there to talk to, to rant to, and to cheer me up with your sometimes mildly insulting but still very funny sense of humour. You've taught me how to be a hell of a lot more relaxed and fun loving (a big milestone for a girl with generalised anxiety disorder and PTSD) and have helped *me* to see the beauty in myself. Ironically, considering how often you compliment me, you've taught me not to place my self value on what others think of you, and that the only other opinions that matter are the ones of people close to me. Like I said, we didn't end up together, but you have still been so influential in my life, and I don't think I would be quite who I am now without you. To friendship ❤️

"Nothing could separate us from each other neither distance, neither time , ethnicity or religion. Today we are who we are. We do mistakes , ask for forgiveness , do mistakes again and still forgive each other cause we're humans and we make mistakes and learn from them. I never regretted anything cause God wanted to be this way and it was for a reason , a lesson or a blessing in our lives. I'm taking it as a blessing since you taught me so many things. You taught me distance is not miles , it's just time nothing else. If we know how to manage the time we're going to achieve everything we want. It hurts to see that so many things happen everyday , I am always the person who gets mad and you still are there trying to calm me down , never said a bad word to me , never called me anything bad even tho I did when I was mad. I don't remember even once when you got mad at me. That made me learn so many things. Made me learn how to have a wonderful personality.
Many things happened in a very short period of time (2 months in total ) and we have arrived in a point where there's no turning back now whatever happens. Thank you for this happiness you give me every morning when I open my eyes and every evening when I close them again!❤"

Almost made it through today without tears!! But here goes.

Dear Jackie Chan,
Thank you for being the fun loving martial art cinema comedian that you are. Your movies and after credits blooper reels, cartoon, and life in general, helped get me through elementary-beginning year of high school. Times were tough being the small shy kid. Constantly bullied and forced to eat with my head down and told not to look up or catch a beat down or my friends will was pure hell for me.

But through your videos and kind words to fellow martial artists in training, and kids I was able to cope as I would finally get home to no father and a distant but caring mother.

I learned honor and integrity from you, how to be respectful and work hard and to pick my self up if I have setbacks or encounter difficulty in any task. With these tools, your words of encouragement I trained hard and mastered taekwondo, gymnastics and film and tv production. Gained new friends with shared interest and defeated my bullies, accompanied by a humiliating suspension for fighting but overall victory 😁!! But to me you were like my tv dad. I'll never forget how I was able to survive near depression at my situation through your content. Even if you'll never know.

So thank you so much for your inspirational feats and charming helpful personality.
You were the father I lost at 4!!!

To my Best Friend, you know who you are. You know the troubles that people like us go through every day. We went to school together and you've seen me at my utter worst and I've seen you at yours but at the end of the day ever since we became friends, we've always been able to count on each other to reel the other back from the edge, the one that you and I both walk dangerously close to all to often. Me when I put my knife to my arm and tried to cut till I hit a vein and you staring at the water wondering if drowning is really that painful.
When I told you about those times I walked so close to the edge I nearly fell. You were the only person in my life who didn't judge me. In all honesty when In the future whether it be near or far that I'm dead and in the afterlife, you are one of the handful of people that I will miss, hell you know two of the others.
