To be clear, guys, the question is whether you'd be cool or not with your woman wearing a thong bikini to support her friend.

Nope, mmm, my girlfriend/wife would respect me enough not to ask me to do that. However is she TRULY has an issue, i'll wear a speedo. I did do swim/waterpolo so I wouldn't care cause it is normal for me. And it is normal in Europe I hear, I am from CA myself. I would go with a jammer or speedo, since that of course is specified for men. (Your junk) to be covered.

Ohh lol, if she was asked to, by her friend, I would have issues with it if she was my girlfriend, if she was my wife I would be highly against it. I don't want people looking at my wife! Why does her friend need to wear a thong any way? What necessity is it? I mean if my wife didn't want me to wear a speedo I would layer up as much as she wanted, and in so I feel it should be mutual that if both don't want others to be looking at their spouse then they should respect that. I wouldn't expose myself (more skin than needed) for my wife sake and self esteem, and I hope she wouldn't for mine, same for looking at other people. I would try not to look at others and hope she would do the same for respect to each other.

However, I suppose this isn't a big issue? Maybe? I wouldn't be to ecstatic about this by any means, and don't see the reasoning with your mates friend. Maybe her friend should support herself besides relying on others for validation?

im intrigued that you seem to consider a thong type bikini may be considered inappropriate? and that a man may not be happy with his partner wearing one where as he may be quite happy to admire other females donning the same attire... would it bother you then? as for me hell no way past that possibility but hell yes if she could pull it off id encourage her all the way xx
