Why does Christmas bring out the worst in people an new years, brings so much peace?

so pick 1 an share your view why is new years liked so much more than Christmas by so many is it the booze or the good spirit an what is it that makes Christmas so disliked

cuz Christmas is about buying gifts

cuz new years is about drinks an parties

cuz Christmas people are stressed to shop for food

new years is about being happy the year is done

Christmas means you have to spend time with grumpy relatives

new years is relaxed cuz it's the 1st day of a new year

Christmas makes people grumpy cuz they out Christmas stuff out in September

Its usually black Friday and Christmas that bring out the worse int people because they are stressed about getting the "perfect" gifts either for people they know or themselves cause that's when the "better" deals start happening on items that are extremely wanted but out of people's buying range. That's why you see people punching and macing people over tv's and consoles systems at Walmart and people getting stepped on and such. And it makes people pissed off that they have to work (Christmas or Thanksgiving not black friday) cause they want to be able to spend time with their families too.

As for new years its half and half, it brings everyone together cause they are celebrating a fresh new year, they are happy they are alive and just want to share the moment with people they know. On the other hand it brings out the worse in them because booze is usually involved so they get a little crazy and may do some crazy things they wouldn't usually do.

A lot of people spend far too much money at Christmas time. They spend much more than they can actually afford. They tend to get into too much debt , then they feel down after the fact , coz they worry about how they're going to pay for it all

Then there's those on low incomes who want to spend more at Christmas time , but they genuinely can't. So they feel guilty, and sad that they can't spend what they want to on friends and family

At new year, people are looking forward to putting the past year behind them, and are looking to a fresh new start to the new year. They look forward to the lighter nights, and warmer weather in the upcoming months after the new year. I often hear people saying " i hope next year will better than last year" So they are looking forward to a better year ahead , without looking back at the past years events. So it gives them a sense of hope and inner peace :)

I have no idea what you are talking about. Christmas is time to spend with family and brings back great memories for me. New Years is for just starting a new year and those memories dont last. Maybe you need to try and spend Christmas with family if you can. When I was in the Army we missed our families on Christmas not New Year's Eve or Day.

I love Christmas it's my favourite time of year. I saw someone had a wreath up and the lights on their house already today... keep in mind they live in the rich area and probably paid someone to do it.

it's always a good idea to get an idea of what people want. like watch what they say or how they express about certain things, like for example if my boyfriend get excited over something metallica related then I will buy something metallica related or the item he was talking about. That way you won't end up getting a gifts thats not... meh. I know it's the thought thats suppose to count but lets be real, we've all gotten gifts that were meh or could have gotten ourselves.
