Would you choose money over a friendship?

I was currently offered a coworker aka friends client. Were not besties just met her this year through work. the parent of the client wants me over my friend. it wouldn't be just 40hrs it would be 64 hrs a week not two weeks and a pay increase. should I take the opportunity?

In this case, ill have to say take the pay increase and client it's not your fault she didn't get picked and you're not doing anything wrong by accepting. besides you said your not besties anyway and true friends support each other even if she's a bit jealous as long as she supports you then go for it plus its a great opportunity for you. id take the raise but if she was someone you were really close with you could maybe reconsider but I'd honestly probably still take the raise let's be real you gotta grind to shine, dream work makes the teamwork she was slacking you weren't that's all there is too it

I hate this type of choices. It depends on your overall goals in life. If it is beneficial in the long run then you should prefer money over your friend if you want to take a rational decision. If you value friendship more than the pay raise and think that this person can be your bestie in future then let the pay raise go.

Will this client move to someone else if you deny your service or stay with your friend? If you think that there are high chances of him to move to someone else than it would be better to grab the opportunity. Anyway your friendship won't be at risk as you are not the one who's stealing her client.
