Girls, Have you ever been forced to remove your shoes & socks and go barefoot at someone else's house? If so, did this make you feel awkward?

I’ve had to take off my shoes but having my socks still on we’re fine. It was a Vietnamese friends house and he told us to leave our shoes inside by the front door

I’ve been asked to take shoes off but never socks. If someone asked me to take my socks off I’d be horrified. I hate my feet hahaha

Why would I not be wearing socks professionally? Also I would never date a guy with a foot fetish it would creep me out haha. Thankfully my current partner also has no interest in feet

Actually I ' ve been living in India for a while. Never forced, but I ' m originally from Eastern Europe and we have thr habit of removing shoes when entering a house and since I usually don ' t wear socks unless it ' s ( close to ) literally freezing ( and it ' s never that cold in India unless you live in a mountainous state like Himachal Pradesh or something ) I ' m usually barefoot at home or at some other people ' s homes. I ' ve actually been asked to put / keep my sandals on at some people ' s places, as they probably assumed that if I ' m white I must be a city girl made of egg shells. Also Indians tend to wear socks more than I do. Like I said, in that short cool time they call winter ( which is a bit cooler for my taste too, I like heat, but it ' s far from what we call winter in Europe, both in duration and temperature ) I might occasionally wear socks, but it ' s still not that cold for me to feel the need to wear them all the time and when the weather starts improving ( usually late February - early March ) it ' s sandals time again girlfriend.

Im usually barefoot indoors only. I suppose it’s because it’s always fairly warm out where I live. I like the freedom of being free of shoes and socks, especially in my own home. It’s much more cozy. I also get pedicures often, so don’t feel the need to hide my feet. It’s interesting to hear of all the people that want to hide their feet or otherwise don’t like them. I love when a guy pays attention to my feet, it honestly turns me on and feels really good to me.

Yes. It happens in Pakistani households too. We just have separate shoes to wear indoors.

@caramelbrownie Whatever they want😅 They get me on my 4 and ride me like a pony🙈 They tickle me when I'm slow or anything else, they made me eat on floor while they sit, made me walk around in the garden for nothing etc...

maybe if being barefoot isn't a big deal to u in front of them, they will stop. I think they get joy from u being reluctant to go barefoot. They like seeing ur reaction. Dont give them the satisfaction... and then it won't give them joy to take away ur shoes

She always complained about how I always wear socks in the past. And she forced me to get this job. Maybe she told the boys to make me stay barefoot. Is such thing possible?

See the dots are connecting! Your solution is to just go barefoot for a while and wear sandals. Confuse everyone. By doing this one of two things will happen (or maybe both):

1. They will be surprised and will get off your back
2. You will overcome your hesitancy and maybe start to like it!

@caramelbrownie yeah when I wear socks in winter I usually remove them myself as I start getting really warm. But no one asks me to remove socks.
I ask my husband to remove socks or wear with indoor slippers since they collect dust :-)

I think feet are beautiful if there taken care of. I get pedicures often and don’t mind showing them off— so I would be fine with removing my socks !

I generally don't wear socks so I've never been told to remove them. But when I'm forced to remove my shoes I just go around barefoot without any problem

@brownvanilla75 Why not? Socks are to keep your feet warm when it ' s cold and to absorb sweat and create a buffer while wearing closed foot wear. They are not to hide your feet and feet are not meant to be hidden. I find this obsession with hiding feet or always wearing shoes, even when unnecessary some people are having annoying as hell.
