Girls, Is it alright for a male friend to give you a kiss on a cheek or forehead (platonically)?

Let's say you've been in a really tough time and your opposite gender friend is there to give you company to cheer you up, then he kisses you on the forehead or cheek as a sign that he really cares for your well being. (Nothing sexual involved but just as platonic affection) Would you girls find it sweet and be okay with that?

I think you have to establish that you're okay with that type of kiss on forehead/cheek relationship otherwise things can get ugly or possibly ruin the friendship if it's not understood that all it was was just a platonic thing. As a woman, I would never kiss a guy friend without his permission first. I wouldn't want to send any type of mixed signals or have him think I want more or that I'm confused about the fact that we are JUSSSSSSST friends and nothing more.

Depends on the friend. In that scenario I would say that’s fine but then again not while I’m in relationship. Even with no sexual meaning behind it, I wouldn’t be happy if my boyfriend kissed one of his girl friends on the forehead or cheek.

Personally I would be weirded out, but I have issues with physical intimacy with people who I am not seeing. I don't even really give my friends hugs (unless they are clearly in need of that sort of thing), or touch them really in any way.

No, I wouldn’t like that all. If my closest guy friend kissed me on the forehead, I probably wouldn’t be feel very comfortable around them anymore. The only person I ever give kisses to is my boyfriend.

Yeah I think it's fine. Granted, my situations are different because I have sex with most of my friends lol. So I don't know. But for me, kissing is was more intimate than sex.

No, I wouldn't feel comfortable with that unless we were in a relationship. If he wants to comfort me or cheer me up he can give me a hug, which I think would be more effective anyway.
