I used to be very close to my mom, but then she turned on me these past few months and has called me everything evil under the sun. Now I do not wish to associate with her. My dad has proven to be the better caretaker, and I am very close to him as well.

I'm very close to my mom and we have the best relationship ever unfortunately I can't say the same about my dad. My parents have always been together but I never had a good relationship with my dad.

My dad died when I was a little kid, and I'm not that close to my mother. I feel more obligated to love her than anything else, but maybe it's just because we don't have much in common.
