Did you bath/shower with siblings growing up to save water? what age did parents stop the bath shower sharing or what age did you stop on your own?

We did and my brothers and sister were all about 2 years difference in age so it was different for all of us at dufferent ages... i stop when i was 11 or 12

It depends, sometimes when we have a pipe shut down, me and my brothers shower together since we saved a limited amount of water in our buckets, sometimes we shower together cuz we both need to shower at that time (had to go to a friend's birthday party or something). Sometimes when the other sibling needs help showering due to an injury: When I was 14 I got injured on my both of my thumbs (I tripped and stupidly tried to break the fall with just my thumbs) so I was given a cast...

... now my mom leaves for work really early in the morning so she can't help me so my 12 year old brother helped me shower (scrub soap on body, shampoo on hair... basically wash me everywhere and yes I mean everywhere as in even my breasts, vagina and my anus).

Some families shower together since they're full on nudists.

So to answer your question, there are various reasons as to why siblings shower together.

Yes, but not really to save water. It is more a cultural thing here. We also have public baths here in Japan and the government had to ban foreigners from using them in some areas because westerners trip out over this. In a public bath, you take a shower and get clean first, then you go to to the bath with is just for soaking in really warm water. Non-Japanese trip out that these baths are unisex and have people of all ages in them. It is definitely not for the prudish western mindset. Lol

I’m an only child but my boys don’t mind showering together. They are both prepubescent still. I don’t do it to save water. More to say time. Lol. It’s easier to get them both in and out at the same time.


I don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong with seeing your siblings naked. Was it bothersome to you?

I did I'm from a family of 6 so. Definitely was the case when we did baths but still do it on occasion when I'm visiting. Mostly was a thing after the beach or something.

My God, TWELVE? I think I was about six… Maybe? But It could just as easily be four or five! I mean I only really remember one bath, and I remember because I specifically noticed that my brother was different to me. As a family we have always shower together. We have a large family shower room and so can all bathe at the same time in the morning. Great for a chat and handy to have someone to help wash long hair.

Yeah, my I remember being about 7 and taking a bath with my mom and brother age 5. I think my mom wanted it that way so it would easier on her to help me wash my hair and help my brother wash in general.

There were too many of us, and with the addition of cousins living with us, this happened all the time. One of my sisters is only a year older than me so it was just easier and we stopped when I was about 9 or 10. It's actually pretty common. As a mom now, I totally understand why. Giving multiple baths compared to just 1 would eat up your time that you don't have haha!

It was just me and mom. We use to bath and shower together. From birth to 5 always together then much less frequently. My best friend and I from around 5 would shower and sometimes with mom through jr high. I grew up nudist so it was nothing to us.

I used to shower with my cousins, we were all around the same age and would only shower together when we would get dirty from playing in mud. It stopped at around age 8 or 10. But the peeking at your own sibling is a no no since y'all are not little kids anymore.

When I was young. I don't think it was to save water. It's because bathing kids is a bit of a hassle as a parent and it's easier to bathe more than one at a time.
