I think I'm as close as I can be considering my parents have been divorced for twenty some years. And he lives in a different state. But we're actually alike in many ways and share many common interests (especially music). We talk over the phone and visit eachother. I have so much love for my father!

My parents divorced when I was young and my father remarried and was preoccupied a lot with his work and new family. But I have found as I get older that I seem to resemble my father more and more (like all the unfiltered things he used to do and say that embarrassed me as a kid are things I'm doing and saying now) and we're on very good and friendly terms now (like drinking buddies).

Physically he is about 5 to 7 minutes away by car. Emotionally we haven't talked since September and I doubt today changes that.

I was pretty close to my father. He died a few years ago very suddenly and it really affected me. A day does not go by that I don't say some arcane thing he used to say.

Wasn't really close. Fam doesn't really get close. We play video games and watch anime. Do art once a year. Other than that we act like children constantly doing chores.
