What is the biggest surprise/gift you've ever given to your parents?

I got my mom a string of real pearls with my employee discount when I worked at Tiffany's. She'd been wearing fake pearls for years always expressing her wish that they were real. So when I went to work for Tiffany's I got her a $8000 string of cultured pearls for $2500. It took her an hour to stop screaming and jumping up and down. Then she got depressed because she didn't get me anything nearly as nice for Christmas. I said "you have 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren to by gifts for on your fixed income. I only got one mother to buy for. I got her matching pearl earrings on her birthday. Turned out that was her last Christmas. So now I'm really glad I got them for her. She wore them every day for the rest of her life.
Precious. Loved the part got only one mother
Satisfaction is the greatest income!๐
A trip to Europe - Iceland, Britain, France, Switzerland, Italy and Vatican City.
Amazing!!!
Happily, she still talks about the trip to this day. - Ofcrs she's proud of her Son.
I always give gifs to my mom and she likes them. But there's childhood memory about my dad, I would like share.
I saw my dad's wallet slightly torn, when I wad 8; I then bought a new one from my pocket money for him. He was so much happy seeing it, because he was surprised by his little daughter. I still remember his wet eyes for such a humble gift. It was really special for him. I love my dad... But I lost him😣
I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. Its nice to always remember the good memories and cherish them.
Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure!!๐
So thoughtful at that age
@Aakash_Hangargi thanks
Nothing my mom is super picky 🙄 I got her gift many years ago she ended up returning them to the store not because the item didn't fit her she didn't like the item. This one time I give her money so she would buy something for herself she ended up giving the money I gave her to someone else. After no more gifts. Why even bother.
Aww.. I know it's always difficult

When my dad was building his car garage, one of his vintage mustang posters blew out into the rain and got soaked. I snuck around to the trash, looked at the poster and found it on EBay with the other matching poster too. I gave them to him for Christmas and he was so overjoyed. He doesnโt want to put them up until he gets a frame.
Nice
Hmm... they both enjoyed the hot air balloons on my 30 birthday that the whole family pitched in.
Exciting
It was $1,300 for 4 people on 1 hour flight
What matters is the happiness on their faces. I've never been on those but I think 1 hour must have felt long.
It was worth it
I made them homemade chocolate peanut butter fudge for their wedding anniversary. If I was to get a big gift for them, I'd get them a hot tub because I know my mom wants one.
That's sweet
I gave my parents a month long vacation around the world before Covid-19 hit for their 50th anniversary.

Telling them I was getting married. I think they thought I would just collect casual relationships all my life.
