Back in my teen years, I used to come back home from school, study for a bit, play games for like 5 hours at least and then sleep. There would barely be any interaction with my family or anything. Worst of all I wouldn't even realize it. I'd stay for hours in my room and whenever one of them calls me I'd get mad. Now I know that the only way they could spend some time with me back then was when they would call me to do something for them.

Anyways, like I said I never realised i wasn't spending any time with my parents. Then one day, my mom calls me to help her fill a survey on the Internet that one of her coworkers sent her. One of the questions that was in the survey is: who spends most of their time alone in the house. The first answer that came to my mind was: ME! (I didn't say it out loud lol). But then my mom just said that would be her cause she's the one that spends all of her night laying on her bed when no one is around (her and my father aren't close). At that time I realised how much of a delusional selfish egoistic person I was.

After that incident, i changed my schedule and started playing for 1 or 2 hours max. I started spending more time with my mom and dad. I started helping with the house chores at night. I figured out that all the time i spent playing all these games was not worth sacrificing my relationship with my parents.

I definitely spend enough time with friends, although I've noticed that time is getting less frequent as we get older.

I don't spend enough time with family though. My sister goes to college in my city, but other than her, I don't get to see family often. I just don't live close enough to anyone.

I only see my family once every two years. Same for my best friends sadly, lol. But I make sure to speak with them on the phone often. I try to talk with my mom every day.

Not enough as I should. I have neglected friends over lockdown and we have all been busy with stuff since things started easing. Family I’ve been managing sort of.

I would if I could. But our parents say, “oh, you can’t see each other anymore cuz apparently your guy’s siblings had sex over a year ago.” Like, shut the fuck up, I don’t care. Do you know why?
