As an adult, what are the things you can finally do that you weren't allowed to do growing up?

Me I am incredibly happy I can finally have decisions regarding on what I want to do with my life. Growing up both of my parents had literally control all of my decisions it wasn't great. So yes if there are decisions regarding on certain tasks or activities regarding the world to me I rather be the one who makes those decisions. Trust me having others just make decisions for you doesn't help you at all because some of the choices that my parents chose for me was split, some were good, while others were just bad. What about you ladies and gentlemen which are things you are finally allowed to do that you wasn't allowed to do growing up because your parents and of course the law forbid it for you?

Also if you are a minor basically if you are a person who is under eighteen and twenty one what sort of things you can't wait to actually do that you can't at the moment because both your parents and the law state you can't at the moment?

Buy as many video games as I want. The irony being in 2020, they decided to increase the price of games to $70 (after just increasing them from $50 to $60 in 2013) and most of these games are glitchy, incomplete, pieces of sh*t that are literally unplayable without a high-speed internet connection to download a 50 GB day one patch to them.

... Which is why I haven't bought a video game at full price since Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell and why after spending my entire life as a console gamer, I finally switched to PC and bought a $700 gaming laptop in 2019. I hate Steam and would much prefer physical media, but they are leagues better than paying to use your own F*CKING to go online and to waste five to ten manhours at work to pay for broken, unplayable garbage like Cyberpunk 2077.

The only other thing I like as an adult is being able to just go outside and ride my bike to wherever the hell I want between 1am and 4am at night, where there's no people around (I hate people). Sometimes, just being on the street with no cars or people in sight, but working traffic lights, makes me feel so relaxed. Like a post-apocalyptic feeling, but still with working electricity. Being out by myself at night with no one else around is the best. I spent Christmas Even 2019 doing that all night, and it was f*cking amazing.

Man I was on my own at fourteen and before I was on my own I would do whatever i mean went to a homeboys house and hung out for almost 2 weeks before anyone came looking for me and I didn’t give a shit about the law. We use to vandalize shit just to get the cops to chase us. We were some bad kids man but when you grow up in certain neighborhoods you tend to do stupid stuff. But hell me and my girlfriend lived together from 15 to 17 give or take a little so I did anything I wanted and probably more than most adults were doing

For me it was living and travelling on my own in another country for a few months. I got to experience that when I was about 31 years old, traveling all over Malaysia. During my youth my parents were very concerned and so kept a close eye on me so I didn't get to go out much. After I grew up (graduated etc) I could whatever I wanted pretty much. I'm glad I have some very understanding and supportive parents.

it was never about "what we COULD do" it's what we got away with doing. I dont think there's a single thing that i like as an adult i didn't get away with as a brat.
