My favorite tale of Christmas cheer was when a friend of mine had his drunk father-in-law at his house on Christmas Eve. the guy was giving my friend a whole bunch of shit, so my friend got up to leave the room and the father-in-law jumps on his back. My friend tries to shake him off and he knocks the Christmas tree over.

My family doesn't really drink, I slowed it way down to almost never. I'm a light weight and can be the first to pass out after 1 maybe 2 drinks.

Nothing worse than waking up the next day with a major hangover, except maybe not knowing what actually happen after I passed out. I only drink around friends that would watch out for me, in case someone wanted to take advantage.

surprisingly, very very rare...

even at the biggest Mexican Christmas gatherings I've been... about 200 people, none of my relatives will get TOO drunk, drunk yes... but nobody went unconscious, or too crazy... if I've seen that, it was probably one or twice

probably because we eat a whole lot more than we drink

never, neither of us drink. grandparent and uncle drank til sloshed, but never on Christmas. in good company though, Jesus turned water into wine for a wedding so can only imagine what he'd do for his 20xxth birthday!

There is nobody left in my family or my wife's family so we have small immediate family gatherings. There's only 5 of us. I hardly ever drink. Nobody else in my family drinks
