My friend has a cat who used to be very very shy and didn’t like to be pet. I haven’t seen my friend in years and never met her cat before so I was invited to her house. I was on the couch and her cat came up to me cautiously and I petted her. My friends boyfriend was sitting by me and he could not believe that their cat came up to me and I’m petting her. Ever since then their cat has been a bit more sociable but still shy.


I feel honoured to bring her cat out of her shell a bit.

I must say that yes... it's a very special and rewarding experience when one of the many "roof/street" cats around here find themselves willing to trust me enough to get that close, it usually takes weeks and most of the times does not even happen... they just want and take the food and want none of the closeness... lmao

Two Iguanas acted like cats one time. One of them even got jealous. Either because they also wanted attention or they were actually mates and they thought I was being an asshole. They enjoyed the pets though

No not when it someone else's cat. My cat only lets me pet her when it's her idea. If it's not her idea I end up getting bit or scratched.
