I would say quite undoubtedly my mother. She knows that I have a huge amount of general knowledge and she doesn't try to make me look or feel stupid by saying stuff like “discovery channel and you are wrong about sharks, my friend is a marine biologist and says something different”. Everything I say is incorrect, according to my father even the things I have studied

I'm more closer to my dad even though we don't converse as much as my mom and I do. My dad always respects my decision while my mom tries to manipulate me to do what she wants me to.

I'm closer to my mom. My dad was gone for a lot of my childhood and when he got back, he didn't seem particularly interested in fatherhood. He always provided, but he wasn't involved beyond that. And as an adult, we don't really have anything in common. So there just isn't much connection there. Though he's been trying more lately.
