How do you know when you are being stalked, and what is stalking behavior?

Someone has been sending me messages on FB messenger since last year. Totally, there are about 20, some of which I have ignored. There are also various invitations to places. Stalker or not?

This is stalker behavior but it’s not technically stalking until they start to follow your life.


A stalker will know your daily routine, who your friends are and where you live.


Block them.


If they disclose anything to you that indicates they know where you are, contact police

I have blocked this person. I know who it is, but not very well.

I would consider anyone who continues to send you messages after two or three unanswered ones to be a stalker. You are correct to just ignore them. It's possible the person is running a bot and sending messages to random users.

I counted 19 messages, some of which I answered. Didnbt encourage him in any way--but I got 3 new ones on Wed to Thursday, inviting me places ( I must have not been careful when blocking him) and now I have totally blocked him. Too much. It's almost scary.
