Mine? No. My mother has pretty much guaranteed no one in the family will have anything to do with either my father's or my mother's family. It's been that way pretty much since I was in high school.
I would have a problem with this but it's kind of just been this way most of my life. At times I wonder if my mom is controlling. But this is the ONLY thing she's controlling about at all. So while at times I question it I've always just accepted that she's done it out of protection for us. And at this point as I've said I never really had a connection to our extended family so I can't really miss what I never had.
I will say this, my immediate family is very tight. My family is only people n this world I trust IMPLICITLY.

Not so much. I haven't gotten to see them very often except during childhood. I do like my grandfather very much on my mother's (American) side of my family.

He's quite a character! He's a WW2 veteran and a paratrooper and managed to go from broke after the war to a door-to-door salesman to owning half of the town and running a Sawmill business. He was a Nascar racer and motorcycle stunt rider. He's quite a character!

I haven't seen him though in maybe 5 years. He lives in the US on the opposite side of the world.

Nope, but there's one aunt I like just cause of her relationship with my mom (her sister). I don't care much for my cousins tbh, I only keep in touch with a few of them.

In my culture we do not see them any differently than our immediate family. Family is family. We consider 3rd/4th cousin just as important as 1st.

Growing up I think God that I had an aunt and uncle and cousins because they enrich my life I was closer to them than I was my own family yes very loyal and connected to my Aunts Uncles and cousins they are my family just as much as my family is

Not anymore. Last few years have been very telling. I hold my immediate family and longtime friends closest.
